Vector Meson Production with the ZEUS Detector at HERA

on behalf of the ZEUS collaboration We present results from recent investigations of diffractive vector meson production using the ZEUS detector at HERA. These consist of measurements of ρ 0 production in the region of photon virtuality 0.25 < Q 2 < 0.85 GeV 2 , of ρ 0 , φ, and J/ψ production for values of the momentum transfer to the proton 0.3 < |t| < 4.0 GeV 2 , and of elastic J/ψ production both in photoproduction and for Q 2 > 2 GeV 2 .

On behalf on the ZEUS Collaboration The energy dependence of exclusive vector meson (V) production is studied using the ZEUS data. The SU(4) universality of V cross sections in the Q 2 + M 2 V scale is tested. The energy dependence of the ratio of the cross sections for V production to the total γ * p cross section is compared with expectations based on pQCD and Regge approaches.
